Model Xtractor is a platform for online interactive class diagramming on preloaded metadata: .NET frameworks, third-party software products and libraries, database models, APIs and SDKs for ActionScript, PHP, VBScript, IDL, and way more to come. The navigable model is an extension of UML and ER, with features for best possible handling and visual representation of metadata.

Where should I to start?
Browse and pick up an existing public diagram. Click Edit to load it in our online editor, change it and try to save it. You will be asked to sign up for a free user account and log in, and you can do this without leaving the editor. Clone and save the diagram now as your own, then go to the diagram page, to publish it. All this in a matter of seconds!
Is Model Xtractor for advanced programmers?
Model Xtractor is intended for all IT professionals: expert and beginner developers, system analysts and architects, technical writers and trainers, product managers. Great tool when you learn a new language, play with diagrams from loaded metadata, or just remind yourself of a specific component or object model, if you are already an expert.
Is Model Xtractor for .NET developers?
Not only. We already added PHP, ActionScript, VBScript, databases, IDL, and we are preparing for Java, JavaScript, XML and Web Services, Delphi, C++, Objective-C, Ruby, and many other platforms, software products, APIs, libraries and SDKs.
What are the supported browsers?
Model Xtractor is properly tested on the following browsers (but it may work fine on other versions as well):
- Explorer 6.0 or higher
- Firefox 3.0 or higher
- Chrome 4.1 or higher
- Safari 4.0 or higher
- Opera 9.8 or higher
- SeaMonkey 2.0 or higher
- Navigator 9.0 or higher
- Maxthon 2.0 or higher
Can I upload my own software components or database models?
No. The diagrams can use only the internal preloaded metadata. And while we cannot possibly upload all patches and versions of all software components, you may find very small differences between the build you actually have on your computer and our imported versions.
Why diagrams look a bit different in the editor and generated images?
The online editor and the server use different technologies to render diagrams, so there may be slight differences between how they look in your browser, in the generated images and in the PDF.
